Metals Processing Plant, Korea
In Korea, Air Liquide Engineering & Construction works with one of the leaders in the steel industry. In 2010, the group produced 33.7 million tons of crude steel. As such, it requires large volumes of oxygen for its production processes.
In 2011, Air Liquide Engineering & Construction signed a contract with the customer to design and supply two very large Air Separation Units. Each of these has an oxygen production capacity of 3 750 tons per day, which is the largest production capacity that we have designed for a steelmaker to date.
In total, Air Liquide Engineering & Construction has supplied 21 Air Separation Units to this customer over a period of 30 years.
