CO₂ and Sulfur Removal, Qatar
Qatar is a major base for the production of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). The production process requires the removal of CO2 and sulphur containing components from the raw natural gas to very low concentrations.
Air Liquide Engineering & Construction supplied the customer with four total Acid Gas Removal (AGR) trains based on an activated amine solution (4 x 40 000 000 normal cubic meters per day of gas production) and six Sulfur Recovery Unit (SRU) trains including Claus, Tail Gas Treatment (TGT), in a Natural Gas Conditioning plant. Each SRU train has a capacity of 570 tons per day.
